BACKGROUND
Signatur – Foundation Sweden has been in existence since 2018, when the London based organisation The Karlsson Játiva Charitable Foundation (KJCF) launched the Signatur Programme. The aim was to promote music in the UK, Sweden and the rest of Europe by supporting relevant charitable projects and organisations.
In order to fulfil its objectives in Sweden and the Nordic countries, KJCF founded Signatur. A donation from KJCF formed the basis of Signatur’s first work plan, and since then KJCF has awarded new grants annually to fund project activities in Sweden.
The first grants in the Swedish Signatur Programme were awarded in 2018. Since then, our operations have expanded gradually. The Board, which originally consisted of three members, now has 5 members, and in addition to the position of Programme Manager for project activities in Sweden, the foundation also employs part-time staff for administrative and communications work.
Since 2023, Signatur works out of office premises in Enkehuset on Norrtullsgatan in Stockholm.
